Today something awful happened … I ran out of dog treats.
I don’t know how it happened or where all the treats went , all I know is when I went to the usual spot in the fridge there was nothing there. The dogs know the spot too and they stood there ready to do there tricks (no free treats here) and I had nothing.
I had to think fast, or bake fast in this case, and I came up with these easy, peanut butter treats.
All you need are three ingredients, thirty minutes and a distraction for your dogs and they will never know you were actually OUT OF TREATS!
2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup Milk (for a vegetarian treat use Soy Milk)
1 cup Peanut Butter
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
2. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl until well mixed.
3. Knead dough into ball and roll onto a floured surface 1/4 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter or for maximum speed just slice into squares.
4. Place on your prepared cookie sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until slightly browned. Cool before serving and refrigerate.
