1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all purpose flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk
1 egg beaten
1/2 bacon grease
Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine dry ingredients. Add liquids and beat until smooth. Pour into a greased 8” square baking pan. bake for 15 to 20 minutes until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool before serving and refrigerate.
