Ginger Molasses Snaps

Ginger Molasses Snaps Doggydessertchef.com
When I wasn’t feeling well my husband posted my Honey and Oats Treats for me and the boys wanted to know when they would have the chance to write something at the beginning of one of the recipes.
This Ginger Molasses Biscuit treat recipe was their chance and you can see what they came up with after the recipe .. (sigh) boys ..

Ingredients
1/2 cup Molasses
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Eggs
2 1/4 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
pinch Ginger

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Mix whole wheat flour, cinnamon and ginger and set aside. Beat eggs then add molasses and vanilla extract. Once combined add to flour mix and knead until combined into dough.
Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with cookie cutter.
Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until edges brown.
Cool and refrigerate.

Three Moles
There was a mamma mole, a papa mole, and a baby mole.
They lived in a hole outside of a farm house out in the country.
The papa mole reached his head out of the hole and said,
“Mmmmm, I smell sausage.”
The mama mole reached her head outside of the hole and said
“Mmmmmm, I smell pancakes.”
The baby mole tried to reach his head outside the hole
but couldn’t because of the two bigger moles.
The baby mole said, “The only thing I can smell is molasses.” (mole asses)

When I asked why the joke was funny no one could explain it to me … like I don’t know they’ve heard the word asses lol.

I must now immediately go out and adopt a dog from the nearest animal shelter. You recipes look absolutely delicious!

I made these as a Christmas gift for my exceptionally picky nephew (of the canine variety!), and they were a hit.
The joke is quite clever– your boys sound adorable.

I’m so glad your nephew liked them, it’s always a good Christmas when everyone has something to snack on. Woof!
