These apple carrot bits are a perfect size for a smaller dog or for use as training treats.
Ingredients
1 cup Apple Sauce (sugar free)
1/2 cup grated Carrot (approximately one medium carrot)
1 3/4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 cup Oats
1/4 cup Wheat Germ
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined. Knead dough into ball and roll onto a floured surface 1/4 inch thick and take a straight edge and score the dough horizontally and then vertically to make a grid (I used a pizza cutter). Be careful not to score the dough to completely cut through. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Cool and break into pieces, then refrigerate.

Oh my god i love your website!! These biscuits look so good and cute! My dogs are SUPER picky (I have shih-tzus) so I’m gonna try one of these recipes, but do you have any recommendations from your site for picky pups??
I have a whole lot of applesauce right now (my neighbor let me pick the apples from her tree) so this looks like a great use of those! Thanks!

Just when I have some extra natural applesauce on hand, you come out with a Rascal sized treat! You’re awesome.
Do you people have a facebook fan page? I looked for one on twitter but could not discover one, I would really like to become a fan!

How long are the apple carrot bites good for stored in the fridge? Imperiously considering making them this weekend!
They should last about for up to one week in the refrigerator and two to three months in the freezer.
