ask the chef :: freezing treats

I love the natural dog bone recipes you have. Do I need to keep the dog bones in the freezer? If so, how long do they last in the freezer?
Thank you.

It depends on the kind of recipe. If it has any meat, cheese or milk in it they usually keep in the freezer for up to three months. If it’s a recipe with peanut butter or other ingredients that are not perishable they usually last for six months or more in the freezer. I do freeze a lot of my treats, because I make so many, and I’ve never had any issues with the dogs eating them after the thaw out.
Hope that answers your question and thank you for visiting my blog. Woof!
