Pineapple Mint Chews Dog Treat Recipe

  • Food Dehydrator

Ingredients

  • 1 whole pineapple
  • 6 to 7 mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  • Remove the tough outer layer of the pineapple by cutting the top and bottom off of the pineapple, then place it upright on your cutting board and cut down along the sides to remove the skin, before slicing
  • Mix the water, honey and cinnamon and brush the tops of the pineapple slices with the mixture then sprinkle with chopped mint leaves.
  • Arrange the wrapped apple slices in a single layer, onto clean dehydrator trays. Leave plenty of room for air circulation.
  • Set the dehydrator's temperature to the fruit/vegetable setting, set a timer for two hours.
  • After two hours, start checking the pineapples periodically, until the desired texture is achieved. Dehydrating times will vary but the longer you dehydrate the crispier they will become.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
