Beets and Beef Cupcakes Dog Treat Recipe
Ingredients
Pup cakes
- 1 cup pureed beets
- 1/2 pound ground beef cooked and drained
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 cup brown rice flour
Icing
- 1/4 cup pureed spinach
- 1 8 ounce block cream cheese room temperature
Instructions
Pup cakes
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit and lightly spray silicone pans with nonstick oil.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
- Spoon mix into the molds.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle come out clean.
- Cool 5 minutes in pan then remove and place on wire racks to cool completely.
Icing
- In a bowl combine the cream cheese and pureed spinach until smooth.
- Fill piping bag and pipe on top of pupcakes.
Notes
I used canned shoe string beets. A 15 ounce can, drained, yielded 1 cup of puree. I used Pastries 4 Pets dog safe sprinkles as decoration.
