mint cake drizzled in stewed strawberries dog treat recipe
Ingredients
cake
- 1 cup chopped Strawberries
- 1 teaspoon dried Mint
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 1/4 cup Milk
- 2 cups Brown Rice Flour
stewed strawberries
- 1 pound Strawberries
topping
- 2 8 ounce packages Cream Cheese
- 2 tablespoons Honey
Instructions
cake
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Use a 9 x 12 silicone baking pan line a metal one with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl mix mint, honey, baking soda, milk and brown rice flour until well combined.
- Pour into baking pan and evenly sprinkle top with 1 cup chopped strawberries.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the middle come out clean.
- Cool in pan.
- Slice cake into 2 inch by 2 inch pieces and set aside.
stewed strawberries
- I used this recipe from Chef in you to stew the strawberries.
topping
- Allow cream cheese to come to room temperature and whip with honey.
- Full piping bag with cream cheese mixture.
assembling the jars
- Place 4 pieces of cake at the bottom of each jar.
- Drizzle 2 teaspoons of stewed strawberries of cake in each jar.
- Pipe cream cheese mixture into each jar.
Notes
Optional: I added two dehydrated heart shaped strawberries to each jar, for decoration.
