Provolone Chicken
Homemade dog treats have several benefits over store-bought ones. First, you know exactly what ingredients are going into your dog’s treats, which is especially important if your pup has any dietary restrictions or allergies. Second, homemade treats are often healthier than store-bought ones, as they don’t contain any preservatives or additives. Finally, making treats for your dog is a great way to bond with them and show them how much you care.
How often should you give treats to your furry friend
It’s important to remember that treats should be given in moderation, as they add extra calories to your dog’s diet. As a general rule, treats should make up no more than 10% of your dog’s daily caloric intake. Consult with your veterinarian to determine the appropriate number of treats for your pup.
Storage and shelf life of your homemade dog treats
These treats can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, you can freeze the treats for up to three months. Be sure to label the container with the date the treats were made and the expiration date.
Variations of the recipe
You can easily customize this recipe to suit your dog’s taste preferences or dietary needs. For example, you could substitute the provolone cheese for cheddar cheese or use turkey instead of chicken.
