My very sensitive chihuahua has a legume intolerance. Would this recipe work with sweet potato instead of peanut butter? Would preparation instructions change?
Poor pup, I do too so I know how he feels. Sweet potato would work fine and nothing would change in the directions. I hope it’s a hit. Woof!
Thank you for your first response. I was really looking forward to making these, but just learned that carob is a legume. It would be a novel treat for mine, but I am hesitant to give it to her & send her in a tail spin. Do you give these to your pup with a legume intolerance?
You can find yogurt chips at the health food store and melt them down, same as the carob. It’s not quite “chocolate” but the pups love them just the same!
That’s a yummy idea Amy!
Would these melt if mailed? What about using Yogurt? Thanks!
